Speaker Bios


Carlo Chiarello, CEO Intellitix, CEO CrowdBlink - LinkedIn

Carlo is currently the CEO and President of  Intellitix - an Event Intelligence Platform.   Weathering the devastating Covid-19 hit on the event industry, they are in the process of launching the newest mobile focused platform into the North American and EU markets.

In his previous position, as Chief Executive Office of the Lazaridis Institute, Chiarello successfully launched the inaugural cohort in the first National Scale Up Program in 2016, created and commenced execution of the institute roadmap and was the visionary behind several partnerships in the first year. Some of the companies chosen in the first cohort, such as DOZR and StackAdapt are great examples of companies now at the next level from Canada. 

Prior to the Lazaridis Institute, he was the Chief Product Officer/COO at Powermat Technologies Ltd (Israel/New York), where he helped introduce a cloud based Mobile Engagement IOT platform able to monetize via advertising, couponing and pay to charge strategies (wireless charging your mobile phone in public areas).   In less than 12 months  recorded over 150M charging minutes on an estimated user base of over 1 million users in the USA.

Mr. Chiarello worked for over a decade in several executive roles (Product Management and Business)  scaling BlackBerry as a global smartphone pioneer – most recently as the Executive Vice President of the BlackBerry Handset Division. During his time with the company,  he launched over 50 smartphones  globally, while helping to scale the company into a multi-billion dollar business for Canada.

His first Product Management roles were  with Nortel and Innovance in Ottawa,  bringing some of the first highly integrated Network Management systems for high capacity fiber optics to the market.

Carrie Lysenko, CEO, Zoocasa - LinkedIn

Carrie is the Chief Executive Officer at Zoocasa, a wholly owned subsidiary of eXp World Holdings Inc (NASDAQ: EXPI). She leads platform integration and lead generation capabilities across Zoocasa in North America for the fastest growing real estate brokerage in the world.

A passionate people, product and business leader; Lysenko brings more than 20 years of technical product, business and marketing leadership to the work. Prior to joining Zoocasa, she was the vice president of product and growth at VerticalScope (TSX: FORA) and was integral to the online expansion efforts at Pelmorex Media’s The Weather Network for over 14 years as the Head of Digital.

She was recognized as one of the Top 50 Executives in Canada in 2021 by the Globe and Mail for her work within the Zoocasa team. She helped to lead this award winning proptech company to their recognition as one of the Fastest Growing Companies in Canada, as well as the Americas by Globe & Mail and the Financial Times four years in a row. In 2022, Carrie helped to lead the acquisition of Zoocasa Realty Inc by eXp in July of that year. Today, Carrie is focused on growing the Zoocasa platform and impact in residential real estate as a lead portal across North America.

Aneta Filiciak, Leadership & Agile Coach, Agile by Design & Former CEO, 500px - LinkedIn

Aneta Filiciak has a diverse professional background, which includes serving as the CEO of 500px, a global community and social platform for photographers, before transitioning into her current role as a Leadership & Agile Coach at Agile by Design (AbD). At AbD, she empowers leaders and organizations with the essential tools and mindset required to thrive in an ever-evolving world marked by change and complexity.

Aneta’s professional journey in the world of product management began during her time at 500px, where in one of her early roles as a product manager, she spearheaded the creation of a new product that ignited a profound transformation within the company. Her vision and dedication to innovation led to the product’s rapid success, resulting in the creation of a thriving business unit, for which she oversaw the strategy, operations and product management functions. Leveraging her experience and mindset to lead the organization to even greater heights, she assumed the role of CEO, with her tenure marked by her commitment to innovation, customer-centricity, and building high-performing teams.

With firsthand leadership experience, product development expertise, a background in scaleup operations, and a proven track record of agility, Aneta transitioned into her role as a Leadership & Agile Coach at AbD. Here, she provides active consulting and coaching to her clients, equipping them with mindset and tools to rapidly adapt to changes and operate with greater agility. Working with all levels of an organization, from C-level executives to small teams, her focus is on fostering an environment where innovation, adaptability, and collaboration are not just buzzwords but a way of life.

She serves on the Board of Directors for Shelter Movers (a non-profit organization providing moving and storage services at no cost to individuals and families fleeing abuse) and Stocksy United (co-op stock media agency specializing in conceptual and authentic imagery).
